Mr. Nguyen Trung Tri – Chairman of the Board of PVMR speaking at the conference |
Mr. Nguyen Trung Tri – Chairman of the Board of PVMR, stated that the inline inspection (ILI) market for cleaning and inspecting oil and gas pipelines is very dynamic in Vietnam, attracting many international contractors. Forming a joint venture between PVMR and its partners to provide these services is both necessary and timely. However, initial challenges are expected in terms of marketing to clients and meeting potential legal requirements from Vietnam’s Public Procurement Law. In this regard, PVMR, as a local enterprise, will seek ways to assist and support its joint venture partners to enter the market while complying with Vietnamese regulations.
Additionally, the Chairman of the Board highlighted that another challenge lies in technology and technique, given that many pipelines in Vietnam were built quite some time ago and are highly complex. PVMR can deploy experts to help partners quickly understand the situation through surveys and propose suitable solutions. Alongside meeting technical requirements, cost is also a decisive factor. Therefore, the experts from both parties will carefully calculate and optimize construction solutions to reduce costs while ensuring technical standards and maintaining competitive pricing compared to existing contractors in the market.
